Martha L. Woodford 1929-2024
WEST FARMINGTON — Martha L. Woodford, 95, formerly of West Farmington passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Champion Estates Assisted Living.
She was born July 9, 1929, in Southington, the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Nellie Wagner Strock.
Martha was a 1947 graduate of Chalker High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, Eastern Star, Alpha Chapter #44 of West Farmington and Trumbull Travelers. Martha loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Deb) Woodford of Youngstown and Ernest (Kim) Woodford of Deerfield Beach, Florida; daughter, Phyllis (Fred) Quartarone of Island Park, Idaho; grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Andrea (Jon), Cory (Tracie), Katie (Austin), Doug (Kerry), Molly (Jared), Jennifer (Jake), Rex (Jen) and Axel; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll E. Woodford; son, Jonathan Woodford Sr.; brothers, James, Charles and William Strock; and sister, Irene Balint.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at Farmington Community Church, 240 West College St., West Farmington, OH 44491.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in her memory, to Farmington Senior Center, PO Box 168, West Farmington, OH 44491.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
