June E. Franklin 1949-2024

WARREN — June Elaine Franklin, age 74, of Warren, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at her home in Kingston, Jamaica.

She was born Nov. 19, 1949, in Warren, the daughter of the late Eugene and Hope Bruton Cavin.

A graduate of Braceville High School, June went on to attend Kent State University Trumbull Campus while working at Delphi Packard Electric, where she was an auditor and worked for 36 years prior to her retirement. After June’s retirement, she worked as a children’s bus aide at Head Start.

June was very artistic and loved fashion, home decor, shopping and sewing. She was an avid quilter and often made quilts for her loved ones. June had boundless energy. She enjoyed softball, walking, roller blading and was a member of several bowling leagues. June loved spending time with her family and friends, in particular, her two cousins that she grew up with, Gwennie Shavers and Carolyn Wilkerson.

Precious memories of June live on with her four children, Robert Cavin of Indianapolis, Indiana, Nichole Cavin-Coleman of Warren, Dr. Timothy (Dameta) Franklin of Kingston, Jamaica, and Rachel Franklin of Brooklyn, New York; nine grandchildren, Matthew Cavin, Kayla Smith, Ryan Cavin, Donovan Cavin, John Coleman, JonNae Coleman, Zachary Cavin, Jurnee Coleman and Rileigh Cavin; 11 great-grandchildren; and 10 siblings, Lowell Cavin, Eileen Andrews, Rebecca Cavin, Eugene Cavin Jr., Thomas Cavin, Dennis Cavin, Nancy Cavin, Ronald Brown, Donald Brown and Susie Humphreys; an aunt, Sylvia Bruton Austin of Youngstown; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother: her twin, Jean West, Maxine Vaughn, Sandy Nelson, Hope Morgan and Larry Humpheys; and one great-grandson.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Believers Church Chapel, 3002 Wilson Ave. NE, Warren, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Braceville Township Cemetery. All who knew and loved June are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
