Julia E. Painter 1945-2024

Born Oct. 27, 1945, in Indiana, Pa., she was the daughter of John and Jane Lewis Rostis.

A 1963 graduate of Elders Ridge High School, she worked for many years at Warren General Hospital and most recently she was employed by Dr. David D’Amore in Brookfield.

She married the love of her life, Arthur Painter, Aug. 17, 1963. They had two children, John of Niles and Cyntina “Tina” Korpon; grandchildren, Tony (Chrissy) Chester of Cleveland, Jeremy (Jaclyn) Streitferdt of Austintown, Sarah Prater of Colorado, Zac (Alexis) Painter of Girard, Cayley (Zack) Bowers of Kernersville, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Nolan Streitferdt of Austintown, and Kai Painter of Girard; sister, Donna (Joe) Rethi of Indiana, Pa.; and brother, David (Dianna) Rostis, also of Indiana, Pa.

She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; and daughter, Cyntina.

The greatest times of her life were spent with her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who all called her “Mom Mom.” She also enjoyed playing Texas Holdem with family and friends.
