John A. Orndorff 1950-2024

John was born Aug. 24, 1950, in Hanover, Pa., a son to Lt. Col. Norman and Leone Sanders Orndorff.

John served his country in the United States Army.

He was a truck driver for PPG and other companies for 40 years and retired in 2011.

John was a member of ARES and was an American Red Cross volunteer.

John enjoyed ham radio, cutting the grass and talking with the Dunkin Donuts group.

John leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 42 years, Paula Helfrich Orndorff, whom he married May 1, 1982; sisters, Libby Chew, Pat (Bill) Nesbit, Mary Hoff and Yvonne (David) Nowotarski; along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Orndorff.

Private services will be held in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
