Frederic J. Forman 1950-2024

NILES — Frederic J. Forman, 74, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House in Youngstown.

He was born on April 25, 1950, in Cleveland, a son of the late Felix and Gertrude O’Rourke Forman.

A 1968 graduate of Benedictine High School, Fredric led an interesting life that many couldn’t imagine. He had a passion for music and was exceptionally talented on the drums. In his earlier years, he was a Golden Gloves boxer, played semi-professional football in Cleveland and was a Browns fan. His love of animals was evident to all. He also bred show class Doberman Pinschers many years ago.

He attended St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard and was a member of Army & Navy Garrison 422 in McKinley Heights. Frederic collected lighthouses and was proud of his deep Irish heritage.

On Nov. 4, 2000, he married the love of his life, Sherlynn Stringer, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Pauline Creutzburg of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Felix Forman; as well as his parents.
