Fernando Ricardo Huerta Chaw 1951-2024

He was born Sept. 19, 1951, to the late Jesus Huerta Mosquera and Delfina Chaw de Huerta.

Fernando was a loving husband, father and papa who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was born in Lima, Peru, where he met and later married the love of his life, Elva on Oct. 14, 1972. In 1989, they moved from Peru to Warren to provide a safe life for their children. His passions included fixing things, cooking, visiting flea markets and more recently, he rediscovered his love and talent for painting.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elva Chaves de Huerta; children, Jesus (Kimberly) Huerta, Fransisco Huerta, David (Candace) Huerta, Alicia (Steven) Hanshaw and Eugenia (Nathan) Whitelock; adopted daughter, Gwendolyn (Steven) Cunningham; grandchildren, Josh, Billy Joe and Sebastian, Elizabeth, Daniel, Noah, Owen and Ava, Gavin and Olivia, Alana and Alexis, and Aiden and Alexander; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Manuel Huerta, Rosio (Elmer) Huerta Chaw and Maria Eugenia (Gustavo) de Paredes, along with numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held beginning at 4 until 6 p.m., with a service at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483.
