Carl F. Judge Sr. 1936-2024

He was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Sistersville, W.Va., to the late Homer and Olive Richeson Judge.

He married Sharon Williams in 1959 and was blessed with over 52 years of marriage before her passing.

Carl was a lineman for Ohio Edison for 31 years until his retirement in 1996. He then was a delivery driver for Ferrellgas for 13 years. Carl enjoyed sprint car racing, camping, telling stories while drinking a cold beer and riding his bike. He treasured long walks on Asbury Road, which is where “The Old Homestead” where he grew up, is located. Above all else, Carl loved his family and spending time with each of them.

Carl will be deeply missed by his children, Carl (Susan) Judge Jr., Susan (Clyde) Simmons and Jason (Tara) Judge; grandchildren, Cheryl (Geoff) Carpenter, Dustin (Ashley) Simmons, Blake (Chrislyn) Judge and Travis Stefansky; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; close companion, Carol Dunn; sister, Helen Lawless; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Judge; granddaughter, Bailey Judge; and siblings, Norman Judge, Velma Read, Pat Bosma, Doris Leigh, Beverly Judge, Dolly Miller and Sandy Carroll.

Please join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Gray of the Garrettsville First Baptist Church officiating.

Carl will then be taken to Fairview Cemetery, where he will be lovingly laid to rest.
