Stanley A. Fauvie 1945-2024

GIRARD — The lifelong journey of Stanley Albert Fauvie came to a peaceful end on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, in Girard.

Known to friends and family as Stan, he was born on June 23, 1945, in the quaint town of Brownsville, Pa.

Stan’s life was one well-lived and well-laughed. He was the beloved husband of the late Tina Fauvie; and he was a father, who leaves behind memories of love and laughter in his sons, Kenneth (Cindy Whitacre) Fauvie and Randy (Cindy) Fauvie; his daughter, Monica (David Dick) Fauvie; and his stepson, Michael Stull; and he was a brother who leaves his sisters, Bonnie and Elaine, who will miss his jokes and playfulness, as will the seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, whom he adored.

Stan was preceded in passing by his parents; his sister, Joyce; and his brother, Emil; and his stepdaughter, Lisa Stull, who have now welcomed him home.

Stan dedicated over 35 years to Republic Steel and part-time at Rivera Motors.

Stan’s love for the outdoors was only matched by his passion for golf, a sport where he found joy in the swing and solace on the greens. It was on the golf course where he experienced his final heart attack, and one can’t help but think that for a man who loved golf as much as he did, it was a fitting final round on his favorite fairway under the open sky.

Those who knew Stan knew a man who was funny, friendly and spirited. He was the life of the party and the one who could always find humor in things.

Stanley Albert Fauvie, our beloved Stan, may you ‘tee up’ in paradise with the same gusto you showed us all here. You showed us the importance of not taking life too seriously and for that, we are eternally grateful.

Farewell, dear friend, father, brother and grandpa. Your memory will be cherished, your absence deeply felt, and your jokes retold (though never quite as well). Until we meet again.
