Robert R. Jones Jr. 1951-2024

He was born May 18, 1951, in Warren, a son of the late Robert R. Jones Sr. and the late Isabelle Hope Jones.

He married Barbara Knepper on Oct. 3, 1970; and they have spent the last 54 years together.

He was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School, class of 1970, and was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Republic Steel / WCI Steel, for 33 years.

Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman and greatly enjoyed his camping life, even building a cabin in the woods that he was very proud of. He will be sadly missed by his family and many amazing friends.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Leavittsburg; children, William (Sandy) Willis of Leavittsburg, Tammy Jones of Galion and Jared (Bobbie) Bregar of Austintown; sisters, Stan (Judi) Velenski of Hudson, Florida, and Brenda Greathouse of Warren; as well as 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Elizabeth Weaver.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Kenneth Dodrill will officiate.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
