Larry J. Stephens 1949-2024

He was born Nov. 16, 1949, in Warren, the son of the late Oather W. Stephens and the late Helen Poole Stephens.

Larry was a graduate of Braceville High School and was employed as a sales associate at Lowes Department Store. He was a “man of God,” loved the Lord and loved ministering to people. Larry visited Israel three times. He loved writing prayers and poetry and was known for his “prayer for preemie” poem. Larry was also an avid Cleveland Guardians fan.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Stephens of Warren; daughter, Destiny J. Stephens; siblings, Willie James Stephens of Braceville, Gary L. (Alice) Stephens of Warren, Elysa Jackson of Warren, Lee (Laurie) Stephens of Columbus, Jerome (April) Stephens of Columbus, Kathy (Donald) Perry of Columbus and Tony (Christine) Stephens of Braceville; sister-in-law, Shellie Stephens of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce Stephens, and Clifford “Randy” Stephens.

Services will take place noon Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Braceville Township Cemetery, Braceville.
