John R. Neal 1965-2024

He was born June 29, 1965, in Warren, the son of the late John Fredrick Neal and the late Marilyn Davis Neal.

John was the vice president at USmax for 14 years. He was a 26-year veteran of the United States Navy, retiring May 31, 2010, with the rank of BMCS (Senior Chief Petty Officer). John loved the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State University, biking, hiking, renovating houses “trying to save Warren,” and gardening; and he loved decorating for holidays. He also enjoyed traveling, with hopes to see all the National Parks, and to watch Ohio State win at each of the “Big Ten” schools’ home fields.

He is survived by his children, Jessica Neal of Seal Beach, California, Jonathan Neal of Los Angeles, California, and Casey Neal of Columbus; siblings, Jodi (Steve) Baldwin, Darrell Neal, Patrick (Donna) Neal, Daniel “Dink” Neal and Earl “Andy” Neal; and his cat, Coco.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, and again, one hour prior to the service on Friday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Lordstown Cemetery, Lordstown.

The family requests anyone attending calling hours to please wear orange in honor of him.
