Cynthia Ann Hayek 1953-2024

Cynthia was born June 18, 1953, in Monroeville, Pa., a daughter of Wesley and Cecil Walker Midgley.

She was a graduate of Boardman High School, and later received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Youngstown State University.

Cynthia was a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse, later a Critical Care Nurse, for many years. She also was a school nurse for Hubbard schools.

She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Cynthia will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her husband, Benjamin Hayek, whom she married Oct. 30, 1982; her children, Justin (Hannah) Hayek of Coral Gables, Florida, Stefan Hayek of Cincinnati, Ellice (Cory) Criss of Columbus, Galen (Mackenzie) Hayek of Columbus, Adrianna (Jared) Ankerman of Aurora, Colorado, and Karina Hayek (Jacob Arvia) of Columbus; and grandchildren, Griffin, Benjamin and Adelaide.

She also leaves her brother, Ronald (Jane) Midgley of Canfield.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Per her wishes, there are no calling hours or services.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
