Carol L. Smerdell 1934-2024

She was born in Mannington, W.Va., the daughter of James M. Glasscock and Amanda Calvert Bland.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

She was the pianist and lifelong member of Warren Baptist Temple. She enjoyed word search puzzles, her ducks and watching old westerns.

She is survived by her children, Tina Rodepouch and Eric Smerdell; granddaughter, Jessica Smerdell; great-grandsons, Nathaniel, Derrick, Nicholas and Brennen Hayes; and numerous other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph A. Smerdell; parents; son, Arthur Alan; sister, Ruby Wildman; and brother, Billy Glasscock.

Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Park.
