Carol A. Grimmett 1945-2024
WARREN — Carol A. Grimmett, 79, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, at her home.
She was born July 27, 1945, in Deery Hale, W.Va., the daughter of the late David Hagee and Evelyn Wolfe Hagee.
Carol graduated from high school and married Fred J. Grimmett on May 17, 1964. She was a homemaker and an avid reader, especially Stephen King novels.
Surviving are her son, Jonathan F. (Elizabeth) Grimmett of Warren; two grandsons, Joshua (Amanda) Grimmett of Leavittsburg and Justin (Ashley) Allen of Liberty; granddaughter, Sara (Tessia) Grimmett of Leavittsburg; five great-grandchildren, Michael Grimmett, Jacob Ellis, Jake Allen, Julianna Allen and Preslee Grimmett; three sisters, Virginia Maupin of Virginia, Crystal Black of Akron and Sandra Hollis of Virginia; and best friend, Kristen Grimmett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Grimmett; sister, Mary Whitesel; and three brothers, Everett, Bob and Bill Hagee.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Youngstown, OH 44514, in her memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
