Beverly Ann O’Neill Hilderbrand 1932-2024
BOARDMAN — Beverly Ann O’Neill Hilderbrand passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, due to complications of Alzheimer’s.
Beverly was born Sept. 14, 1932, in Liberty, the daughter of Raymond and Blanche O’Neill.
A graduate of Liberty High School, Mrs. Hilderbrand started her career at Youngstown Sheet and Tube until she stopped working to raise her four children. Beverly returned to her career in 1972, working as a bookkeeper at Woolco Department Store in Boardman. In 1979, she worked as bookkeeper and office manager for Rex Machine in Lowellville.
In 1992, Mr. and Mrs. Hilderbrand retired to a home in the Pymatuning area. She resumed working as a bookkeeper and later retired in 1998 from Holiday Camplands in Andover.
Beverly was an active member and volunteer of St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman, where she was a member of its Altar Guild and helped with numerous rummage sales. She was also a member of the Friendly Associates (FA Club).
She leaves four children, Susan Lynn Rossi (John) of Warren, Robert Windsor Hilderbrand (Nancy) of New Middletown, Jean Ann Estephan (Hekmat) of Boardman and Kurt R. Hilderbrand (Donna Slagle) of Poland; nine grandchildren, Hilary (Gustavo Stille) and Alison Rossi, Rachael (Dylan) Peterson and Walter Hilderbrand, Maroun, Kyle, Karlina (Jacob) Ruffo, Hannah Estephan and Kent (Kelsey) Hilderbrand; two great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Luciano Stille; and her brother, Raymond O’Neill II (Carley) of Vienna.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Windsor Hilderbrand, whom she married May 9, 1953, and who died in November 2006; parents, Raymond and Blanche O’Neill; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Walter Hilderbrand; and sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Norman Gebhardt of Birmingham, Michigan.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, material contributions be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, OH 44512.
A service of Christian Burial will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman.
