Andrew Cerny 1948-2024

He was born Aug. 21, 1948, to the late Andrew and Theda Miller Cerny.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a lifelong resident of Trumbull County who graduated from Champion High School with the Class of 1966. He was a member of the NRA, Trumbull County Rod and Gun Club, and the Children of the Pearl Harbor Survivors.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and watching superhero movies with his family. He worked as a mold setter for Packard Electric until his retirement in 1999.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ruble Cerny; children, Melissa Eyer and Donna (David) Latva; grandchildren, Justin, Andrew and Delaney; great-grandchildren, Justice and Marley; siblings, Loyd (Denise) Cerny, Jim (Sue) Cerny, Edna (Bob) Brown and John (Cheryl) Cerny.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Todd Eyer.

Calling hours will take place 1 to 3 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St., Cortland, OH 44410.
