Albert G. Morar Sr. 1954-2024

BRACEVILLE — Albert G. Morar Sr., 69, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 15, 1954, in Warren, the son of the late Daniel Alex Morar Sr. and Francis Louella Gordon Morar. Albert lived in Braceville most of his life and graduated from Labrae High School in the Class of 1973. He then continued his education at Ohio State University, graduating in 1977, with a degree in animal husbandry.

Albert married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Wilmoth, on Jan. 4, 1985; they enjoyed 39 years of wonderful marriage together.

He worked as a steel fabricator / supervisor at Warren Fabricating and Machining for 35 years, retiring in 2019.

Albert loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns and was the local president of the Browns Backers Club. He also enjoyed camping, sports collecting, and most of all, he loved his four grandchildren who called him “PaPa Albert.”

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cathy Morar; and one brother, Daniel Morar Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. Morar of Braceville; one daughter, Sarah and Mathew Frederick of Farmdale; one son, Albert and Bette Morar II of Athens; four grandchildren, Lily and Audrey Morar, Brennix and Colston Frederick; many nieces and nephews; and Darrell and Nichristin Guesman, whom he thought of as his own son.

Cremation has taken place.

A celebration of life service will be held 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at the FWD Church, 20 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls.
