Phyllis J. Buckner 1940-2024

She was born May 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Phillip Ferrando and Vick Koening Ferrando in Youngstown, and was a graduate of Chaney High School.

She worked in retail for years and later became a nanny. She loved flowers, arts and crafts, and enjoyed bowling, but most of all she looked forward to spending time with her family.

Phyllis married the love of her life, Bob Buckner, on June 27, 1959, and went on to raise three sons, James (Gwynn) Buckner, Gary Buckner and Roger (Brenda) Buckner.

Phyllis leaves behind her husband; her three sons; a brother, Gary (Theresa) Ferrando; and four grandchildren, Michael (Monique) Buckner, Julie (Douglas) Berkhouse, Lucas (Elizabeth) Buckner and Lindsay (Brian) McGill; as well as five great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, with a service to follow at 11 a.m.
